SHOW FAQs

There is a tuition fee and a production fee that are paid at separate times.  Prior to auditioning, students must register for the production via our spring class registration page. By registering, students are demonstrating that they fully understand the time commitment and are ready and willing to accept the role they are given by the TbT Creative Team.

An additional Production Fee to participate will be required if your student is cast. This fee helps to cover production costs (theater rental, lighting, sets, costumes, etc). Additional ancillary costs may include basic stage makeup (if you don’t have a kit already), show shoes, undergarments for the performances, tickets, and commuting costs (many families carpool!).

General show commitments are good to review before planning to audition!

Rehearsals are typically 1 weekday and Saturdays for 8-10 weeks in the spring.  Lead and ensemble roles have different levels of time commitment throughout the process.  Performance week includes technical rehearsals and shows.

Truthbase Theatricals shows are unique in that they involve both students and parents working together to support one another and the production. If your student(s) is cast, at least one parent or adult representative (per family) will be required to attend two parent meetings and to volunteer up to 20 hours on a production support committee (i.e. costumes, marketing, concessions, etc.). There are many different kinds of committees to join that utilize various talents and abilities.  Parents can give committee preferences based on interests and schedule and TbT will seek to accommodate those preferences. This aspect of a production is typically a highlight for families!
